For future reference (and as KeithUK intimated) it is possible to reset the service indicator via the MDF on a mk7 -similar to the mk6. (6) Press the "0.0" button again to reset the service reminder message. The left hand indicator lights (front, rear, side, instrument cluster) don’t work. The right hand lights all work as they should. The lights all work when hazards are turned on and when using the central locking. Now im starting to think could it be a faulty comfort module? One of dome lights isnt working, problems with central locking and im unable to pop trunk with fob (latch works manualy), this all points for comfort module for golf mk4 / pasat b5.5, but i never found it could happen on mk5. I have a MK4 SE 16V 2001, nothing special, I am currently at work and my alarm keeps going off. it seems to only happen when the car is cold / moisture in the air.. When the car is warm alarm will not sound. How to activate / set NEEDLE SWEEP / INDICATOR CELEBRATION on VW Golf 6, Golf 7, Passat, Tiguan, Touareg, Touran, Scirocco, Skoda Octavia, Fabia, Superb, Aud Turn the ignition on for 3 seconds, off again and take out the key, hold down the lock button and press the unlock one 3 times, I just tried it on mine and if you do it right the car locks and unlocks and the little red light on the remote flashes 5 times. Give it a go, nothing to lose anyway. Hi A3_Audi, Many thanks for replying to my post. I have run the "Output Test" in VCDS and all gauge motors and indicators are working fine. I still think I have a broken wire somewhere and need to find out where the signal runs from the gearbox ECU to the instrument cluster. Under your steering wheel there are 2 screws, take them out and pull the panel off. It could be the relay. With MK4 golfs there basically all run on the same one. Have a look and feel if it's hot. My wipers and heaters and indicators stopped working, changed the relay and all was good. a2cT.
