♦️ Bmw E60 Idrive Not Working
4/ Pinch on boot lid and pull up. 5/ Disconnect two connector plugs. 6/ Rest of trim will pull up from the centre by hand, just lift gently (open centre console first) 7/ Disconnect iDrive plug. 8/ Remove iDrive from trim by removing 4 outer torx 20 screws. 9/ Open iDrive by removing 4 inner torx 10 screws. 10/ Clean sensors with alcohol swab.

It does not seem to be the same as the described iDrive problems that show a blank screen. Specifically, on my 2008 528xi, when I start the car, the iDrive display is stuck on the home screen and nothing moves it. The bottom line of the display shows the radio station currently selected but blank time and date (dashes for both).
289 posts · Joined 2013. #2 · Dec 5, 2015 (Edited) I went back and removed the dash display (one connector to the cluster) and iDrive display (two connector to the cluster). Fairly clean all the connectors. put everything back no change is display or starting. At this point I think the issue is with the Ignition.
Sorry this will probably end up long winded but basically it won't keep time. I can go into settings update the time to the correct time using the automatic option or manually but it won't change time afterwards. For example - if i update the time at 12:00 midday it will show 12:00 on the iDrive and also the cluster but it wont change from that.

Hey guys, I have read all of the threads about resetting the brake pad replacement warning on multiple web sites and I have tried this process 100 times and I cannot get this thing to reset. I replaced my rear brake pads. I did not replace the sensor.
