As you zoom in and fully extend the NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S, weight-dispersing Inner Balance Technology maintains a constant center of gravity (within just 3.8mm). The effect is almost baffling—the lens gets longer, yet there's no perceptible change in its balance.

When we tested the 24-200mm f/4-6.3 lens in the field, we found it to be an excellent companion for cameras like the Nikon Z5 and Z6 II because of its long zoom range and light weight. Even for Z7 / Z7 II users, the 24-200mm f/4-6.3 could be a good choice.

If you have the funds, I would do as @tony-b said, keep it for your travel/light lens. I have 2 sets of lenses, a light/travel kit and a heavier
